LINE App Reviews

Works fine on my OSX and iOS. Conversations are sync between both which are a good thing! Id just like to be able to see Emoji sent from iOS devices into my OSX Line.

LINE was working fine under 10.9, but after i upgrade to 10.9.1, it just won’t work. I tried QR code log in, remove the App and run permission repair, even tried running older copy of LINE, it just wouldn’t open work!! PLEASE FIX IT!! Many of us rely on this to communicate for work, please don’t force us to find an alternative!!

I flat out hate Line. Never liked it since I got it. There are so many things about Line that make it an awful service. Here are a few: - A phone number is required for signup Don’t have a cell phone? Too bad, can’t use Line. - You can only sign in on one device at a time. Own an iPhone and an iPad? Too bad, only one device can use your account. - Remember Username and Password? Nope. The OS X app however is just extra bad: - Continuously fails to start, requiring you to reinstall the application. - Uses this hard to read font, instead of just using Helvetica like the rest of the OS X world. In a market that is over saturated by messaging services (iMessage, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, BBM, Hangouts, etc…) Line is probably the worst.

Ive updated to the latest version and it crashes everytime I double click a word… Is this some kinda bug? Does anybody else encounter the same issue?

Can stay in contact with friends in Canada, my sister in England, friends in China, its awesome. Love that video calling is integrated now as well as the phone app with this one.

after update to the new OS, it can not support the video calling…only can text in the chat room. no more video calling cause it show no respoing “code 101” ppls….fix it =)

I havent been able to log in for months no matter how much I update it. Theres nothing on the website as well even though a lot of people seem to be facing this problem.

I used to love switching between my phone and desktop to chat with friends, but now I cant log in on my mac!

I had been happily using LINE as my main chat client on both my laptop and phone for ages, but suddenly I was unable to log in on the Mac version. This seems to be a regular problem, and it frustrates me because I dont want to stop using LINE.

Great messaging app! Very convenient to message people via phone or on the computer, whichever one is closer. This is one of the main reason why I like Line. Contrary to other people’s reviews, logging in or loading images wasn’t a problem for me. The only thing it can improve is the overall look and feel of it, including a numbered badge on the dock when there is unread message (right now it shows “N” when there are unread messages, no matter how many of them).

I love the desktop app, it’s so convenient. But it would be even better if its updates goes paralel with the phone app. I mean, all the emojis and animated stickers updated at the same time. I buy a lot of animated stickers and it is sad not be able to see it animated; same with the emojis, on the phone is comming tons of new ones that are not available in the desktop version. Also, Please make the Notes available for desktop!! I bet you guys are working hard on the desktop version and trying to make it a nice experience (almost same as the phone, I am an UI/UX person and I know how long this will take) so...　がんばって！

It’s a great app, but still missing the sticker management option. If they have the stickers management option, the app will be 5 stars without questions. Tha’s all I have to say.

I like the new update. It is more stable now. The app NO LONGER crashes when I try to login in. It is finally fixed!!! Version 4.0.0 brings many new features (according to the description on the App Store, 13 features to be exact). These new features are certainly useful and convenient. However…. this version of Line is missing 2 features. First, the font is quite small even on largest setting. Please make the font larger! Second, I can only have 12 frequently-used stickers….? Please make it at least 30. It sometimes takes a couple of minutes to look for stickers I want.

Can’t sign in using an iMac, even though the app downloads…it just routes you back to download the app again. Garbage.

I transfered from a old iPhone, and when I try to login with my email, passwork and pin, it keeps saying error.

Love the app, it’s responsive and so far been improving with regards to the notification. I would give it 5Star if they give us the ability to re-arrange the stickers order. If they allow us to do it on the phone app, why can’t we do it in the computer app?

Everytime I change a new phone, even though I had set the “passcode” or something and it showed “error occured, please try again later” so I redo this process for like a thousand times and still failed. I already had been through this twice and created two Line accounts, which is freaking stupid now I have to tell all my friends to add on my new account again. Only because I need this to talk to my friends on this or I absolutely hate this app.

Everything is working fine as in the iPhone Line app but unfortunately the Mac Line app does not support "Premium Call” which is important for me.

It’s a nice app - if it only were more poular in Poland... I would make one change though - to enable removing the dock icon when the app is running and only show it in the takbar, or at least making it possible to chose to show/hide it from the dock and/or task bar.
