I dont really need a separate window for every chat - why not make it the imessage style? Otherwise I get a message - double click the LINE app icon - then I have to choose the chat on the list, double tap it and only THEN I get to see the chat. Does it sound convenient to you? Cz it sure is not. Please, make your app easier to use.
It is great to have the Mac version of Line, to be able to communicate when working without having to check the phone. Too bad the iOS emoji and the default OSX notifications system are not supported: please add at least emoji support!
It would be better if I can hide the conversation without deleting the entire chat history, like the feature on the iPhone version. Also, even though I mute most of my contacts’ conversations, when I delete the conversation, it will automatically unmute and appear with notification once the person talks to me again, please make it unmuate until I change the setting, Thanks!
downloaded from Mac app store as usual. Icon appeared on desktop. 66.6MB on HD (Opening app) Sign Up reads: Register your mail using LINE to use PC version. Download Mobile LINE app>> (QR is shown) I looked on YouTube and did a half hour of research and elected to stop troubleshooting the app and business. My take away was this app is taylored for PC. If you learn how to use it on El Capitan I would be grateful to learn.
I don’t know if anyone’s been facing this problem either, but after the latest update, which was sometime early May or late April, Line no longer works. It’s just a blank screen in chats/groups, and won’t update at all or let you even view the chats. Everything is just… blank. I can’t see recent photos or anything! All I can see is my friends list, but it’s not like clicking on them to start a new chat will work, as I don’t see any replies that I DO get on my phone’s Line app! Come on Line, you need to step up to the Mac computer game and FIX these bugs because otherwise you’re going to lose a lot of customers. Very upsetting. Is anyone else getting this issue? It’s been two days now.
It’s really weird recently that I entered the correct email address and password but LINE was just not able to let me log in. Very inconvenient! Please fix it.
The app itself is good. but the sticker seems outdated. It looks pixelated on the Retina display, which really bothers me.
I basically have to quit the app after sending each message to ensure that the app is “reset” and doesn’t start to stack up “stuck” messages that then eventually get sent at the wrong times when opening a conversation window. Imagine opening a conversation and having a message from 2 weeks ago suddenly be sent right then and there, at the wrong time, without warning! People are like “what?” … If you offer a messaging app, make a stable messaging app.
I really enjoy chatting with Line for mac. but this version in each chat windows I open to starts a conversation, it start with a small chat windows so I need to adjust windows size by myself. To compare with the previous version, I only justify once for chat windows, then the rest of chat windows still be the same windows size. I really hope that Line will update to be like the previous one.
you have to add a feature to change the whats up bar you know... please make it there in the next update. thank you, id really appreaciate that
When i click on the incoming animated stickers. The animation is played 3 times instead of once. Also incoming message is still won’t show up until i go into sticker selection.
I installed two LINE App,one on my iPhone,one on my Mac desktop computer. I posted some words on chat,but wanted to delete it later on. It would let me delete on my iPhone,but not on my desktop. Really really bother me. On Facebook,we don’t have this problem. LINE needs to get this fixed.
For some reason it keeps logging me out after "a long idle period". This is a message program, why does it matter how long it takes for a message to come in, it should stay logged in. Whats the use of alerts if it turns off random and never remembers your password?

what if my phone is broken? screen cracked cannot see thing, etc. it’s on MAC so make it’s usable. Don’t make it hard to sign in. Terrible product decision.
I’ve always liked Line except this version. After updating to 4.1.0, everytime I’m video chatting with my someone, all of my other applications have lower volumes compared to Line despite my speakers being on max. This is noticeable when you play a music application in the background and then close Line. Upon closing Line, the music application in the background increases back to its normal volume. For some reason, Line’s video chat volume suddenly has more priority over other applications. I get that this might be a “feature” that some people would like, but it’s disappointing that there is no option to toggle the feature on or off. I know this is exclusive to Line because I have performed the same test using Google chat and Skype. It would be great if the developers address this issue.
I’ve always loved Line, up until this latest version. For the last few years its been my go-to app for texting, calling, and video-chatting. However, in this version (4.1.0), the video chat feature automatically lowers the volume of other apps. E.g. iTunes, Spotify, VLC, web browsers. And I have found no way to disable this feature. It’s really frustrating because I can’t listen to music with my friends, or have virtual movie-dates with my partner. I’ve confirmed it’s Line, and not OS, that’s doing this because I’ve tested other video-chat apps such as Skype. So far I’ve been unable to find relevant information in Line Support. I want to continue using Line, so I would really appreciate if the next version could include a way to disable this feature!
Ordinary and nothing special as far as the mobile version. But overall it works well.
The app keeps freezing and needs to be rebooted. Very frustrating.
